Welcome To The
1881 Crescent Cottage Inn
Stay in the most prestigious Inn of the "Silk
Stocking" district on the famous Historic
Loop where history abounds.
The 1881 Crescent Cottage Inn is the oldest, most historic
and famous Inn of the area, not just Eureka
Springs, but the entire region. It is a classic
Queen Anne Victorian listed on the National
Register of Historic Places, a true "Painted
Lady" and a recognized Landmark.
Crescent Cottage Inn was built for Powell Clayton in 1881. General Clayton was the first Governor of Arkansas following the Civil War. The house is three stories of ornate spindelwork, curved-top tall windows, cut-out gables decorations and sunbursts. Inside, there is a great arch and American and European antiques dating from 1840 to 1885, and a 1906 working Edison phonograph.
The 1881 Crescent Cottage Inn is the most famous and photographed bed and breakfast of the region. You can expect the highest quality accommodations in the classic European style.
The Inn is located in a special place, just at the beginning of the residential part of the famous Historic Loop. This gives us the best views of forested mountains of any B&B in the region.
It is only a few minutes walk to downtown Eureka Springs, past beautiful springs and parks. If that is not your style, the trolley stops next to our front door! |
